Easter Weekend
So I haven't written a blog in a while. So thought I would update you with all that I was doing over the long Easter break, and it wasn't work!
So Good Friday we decided to take the kids to a really busy Aldenham Country Park so the kids could do a Easter trail. The queue was quite long to get into the farm, but they were patient. The trail was spread out all over the park, and the kids were knackered, so not one for little legs. We didn't get to do the whole Winnie the Pooh park as he kids were to tired from looking for clues.
Saturday we decided to adventure to Stevenage and try out the new inside crazy golf. The place was amazing inside with 2 different courses to choose from. We chose the submarine course, as the lady recommended that the UV light room was brilliant with kids.
The crazy golf idea was bit too old for our 2 and 4 year old and would have been a lot more fun if they were older but good fun anyway.
Sunday was the day for our egg hunt, the weather didn't look promising! We drove up to Dave's nan's, instead of hiding eggs in the garden which would leave us with a mass of chocolate, we choose to hide ribbons (a different colour for each child) once they had collected 10 they had to come get a clue and find their big easter egg. This is a really good idea if you don't want the kids to have an abundance of chocolate. The weather held off for the event :)
Monday we decided to try out one of these trampoline parks. We headed to Mega Jump in Borehamwood. As both the children were under 7 they joined the 10am tots session. A time when no adults or bigger kids can join in the bounce. It was very tempting for us parents to have a jump, we all loved it and will be doing this again very soon! Just be wary of the mini soft play near the cafe as they sting you £4.50 per child for a play in it. More expensive than some of these large soft play centre's, and we certainly wasn't going to pay that, so left with 2 unhappy kids :(
