'Kinky Boots' The musical

So my lovely husband took me to see the musical Kinky Boots in the westend for my birthday.

To be honest I had never heard of the musical/film before so it was all abit of a surprise.

The story line is about a shoe factory 'Price & sons' which is run by a father whom when he dies wants his son, Charlie, to take over the

business, but Charlie has different ideas and wants a job in the city.

When Mr Price dies, Charlie is put in the position to take over the failing shoe business and tries to turn it around.

When in London Charlie come to the rescue of a drag queen, Lola. Her complaints about the inadequate footwear for her work combined with one of Charles' ex-employees, Lauren, leads to a suggestion to change the product in a desperate chance to save the business: make men's fetish footwear. Lola is convinced to be their footwear designer and the transition begins. They end up taking the shoes to Milan!

The story is apparently written on a true story and was first written into a 2005 film, which will be going on my movie list to watch.

The drag queens are AMAZING in the muscial, if you know me I love watching anything like that, and their costumes and dancing are fab. The main drag queen, Lola reminded me of a Beyonce tribute act. Although the songs are not known they are all quite up beat.

Having not heard of this muscial before I would be recommending it to everyone.
